The Okaloosa County Clerk of Courts Office welcomes Katie Sharon to our team. Katie is the new Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for assisting the Honorable JD Peacock, the Okaloosa County Clerk of Courts & Comptroller, in achieving the objectives of the organization. She is providing leadership, management, and vision to ensure proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and that appropriate staff are in place, resulting in financial strength and operating efficiency. Katie directs agency-wide strategic planning, administers and implements directives and policy decisions of the Clerk, and reports directly to the Clerk of the Court. As Okaloosa County’s finance office works under the Clerk and Comptroller, Katie will be a catalyst for improved efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes both within the Clerk’s Office as well as the county departments.
Katie brings a wealth of financial knowledge from her previous 11 years of banking leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focused in Finance from the University of West Florida as well as a Wharton Leadership Certificate from ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking giving her the tools necessary to excel in a highly competitive financial marketplace.
